Burn treatment in your kitchen

by WillyPete » 02 Jun 2010 11:02

Burns occur somewhat often in the kitchen from hot fluids, hot gases and hot solids.
Keep an aloe plant in your kitchen window, they're fairly easy to tend, and when you get burned, break off a leaf and squeeze the juice out onto the burn. This treatment will reduce or remove the pain, help the wound to heal and lessen the chance of scarring.
Aloe can also be used to treat other wounds and is wonderful to stop chapped lips.
I have heard of people consuming the juice as some sort of treatment but I am not familiar with this use.
